Leona (Dyk) Hooynga of Cedar Springs passed away Wednesday May 5, 2021. She was born to Bernie and Lucy(Smitt)Dyk November 20 1942. Leona worked as an L.P.N and patient care advocate at the Cedar Springs Nursing Home. She loved her patients and her coworkers. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dogs. She is survived by her dear friend Amy Hall, loving daughters Laura(Tim)Dickman and Lynn(Chris)Male, grandson John Magoon, Jessica(Mason Wood)Magoon, granddaughters, her sister Norma(Bob)Borst, nephew, niece, great nephews and great nieces. Fallowing Leona's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial with family will take place at a later date.
