Leona A. (Luxford) Crabbs, aged 92, of Grand Rapids, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 at her home.

Surviving are her children: Gregory (Nancy) Crabbs, Kimberly (Don) VandeWater, Steven (Sandi) Crabbs and James (Suzanne) Crabbs, grandchildren: Matthew (Margaret) VandeWater, Scott (Meghan)VandeWater, Amanda VandeWater, Haley Crabbs, Drake Crabbs, Gracelin Crabbs and Charlotte Crabbs, great-grandchildren: Patrick VandeWater, Ezra VandeWater, Ruth Vandewater, Luke VandeWater, Ella VandeWater and Scarlett VandeWater.

Mrs. Crabbs was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Crabbs, her daughter, Janet Crabbs, and her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Bernice Luxford.

Mrs. Crabbs was a homemaker and mother to her five children. She was a member of the Mary Catherine Guild, and an avid volunteer for St. Mary's Hospital, member of the Grand Rapids Mineral Society, member of the Ladies Literary Club of Grand Rapids, and a leader for the Campfire Girls. She also participated in a bowling league for many years. She enjoyed her many camping trips throughout northern Michigan and Minnesota. Mrs. Crabbs was a graduate of South High School and a dedicated member to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for over sixty years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 22nd at 11 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth SE. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery at 1 PM. The family will meet with friends and relatives on Thursday, July 21st from 7 to 9 PM at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo SE. A Rosary will be recited 8:30 at Ofield Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Faith Hospice or a charity of your choice. Service Details. Visitation
