Leon Carl Stout left this world on July 29th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family following a short illness. Leon was born to Carl and Mildred Stout on February 11, 1933. He was raised in Cedar Springs along with his sister and brother. In July of this year, Leon and his wife Billie celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. Leon pursued a long career in business, first joining his father in the operation of Stout and Ublele and Stout TBA. Later, along with several other entrepreneurs, Leon established a national organization marketing a private tire brand, followed by a successful career in real estate, eventually establishing Stout Group, Ltd. As a child, Leon developed a lifelong passion for horses and later owned and raced quarter horses throughout the United States and Canada. He loved the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He was happiest when he was spending time with his family, sharing meals he prepared, and celebrating life. Leon had a generous soul and gave freely of himself to his family, friends, and strangers throughout his lifetime. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Billie; daughters, Debra Clark, Kathrine (Bill) Waters, and Heather Wenden Scott; sons, Carl Jay (Debra) Stout and Jon (Roni) Stout; sister, Verla Bremmer; brother, Glenn (Bonita) Stout; grandchildren, Matt (Amy) Clark, Megan (Samih) Hawasli, Angela M. Stout, Carl Travis Stout (Erin), Rebecca Trester (Mike), Beverly (Ken) Ream, Chad Stout, Adam (Dawn) Stout, Eric (Amanda) Stout, Alec Waters; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. A celebration of Leon's life will be held on September 5th, 2022 at the Solon Twp Hall, 15185 Algoma Ave a NE, Cedar Springs, MI. The time of day is yet to be determined. Service Details. Service
