Lee Gene Kwakernaak, 89, of Delton, passed away on May 8th, 2017. Lee was preceeded in death by his wife, Helen Kwakernaak, in 2011. He is survived by his two daughters, Carol (Joe) Patrick, April Smith; grandchildren, Scot (Brandy) Wilfong, Chad (Melissa) Wilfong, Angie (Jerome) Griffin, Sara (Joe) Vandeusen; and 10 great-grandchildren. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a man who loved hunting and fishing. A funeral service honoring Lee will be held on Friday at 1pm at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE in Kentwood, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1pm.
