LeAnn M. Hanshue, age 81, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, surrounded by love.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rodney.

LeAnn was a devoted mother to her daughters, Chris Allen and Pam (Mark) Punt, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Stephanie Mitchell (Rico, Mia, Miara), Kali Mitchell (Jaxon, Brody, Lani, Donny, Luna, Lexi), Max Allen, Jenna (Rob) Green (Elise, Colin), and Joe (Jessica) Punt (Charlotte, Oliver). She is also survived by her brother, Dave (Colleen) Corp; her sisters, Julie Wilson and Jana (John) Martin; and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

LeAnn touched so many lives simply by being herself. She had a warm, gentle heart and a generous soul, and she made people feel comfortable the moment they walked through her door. She loved spending time outdoors sitting by the pool with family and friends laughing and working in the yard ,shopping, and listening to country music. Most of all, she loved her family. Her home was truly a place of comfort and belonging—a haven where everyone knew they were always welcome.

For more than 40 years, LeAnn worked at Old Kent Bank / Fifth Third Bank. She took great pride in her work and built lasting friendships there. Those who worked alongside her remember her kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength.

LeAnn will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A special thank you is owed to her sister, Julie who lovingly cared for her through years of dementia. She became her advocate, her comfort, and her safe place. Their relationship only grew stronger through it all, and her devotion will never be forgotten.

Memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Hospice, whose compassionate care meant so much to her and her family. A celebration of LeAnn's life will be held at a later date.
