December 20, 2014 Lawrence "Larry" E. Braendle, age 82, of Grand Rapids, passed away on December 20, 2014. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Karen; daughters Julie (Rob) Zanutta, Jane (Phil) Saurman, Jill Braendle; grandchildren Leah, Milo, Gabriella, Giuliana, Gianluca, Annarosa; sister Doni Huyler; and many loved nieces and nephews. Long-time teacher, coach and advisor at Wyoming Park High School, Larry was also known for his love of singing and sense of humor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on December 29th at Sentinel Pointe Retirement Community in the Sentry Room, 2900 Thornhills SE, with Reverend Douglas VanDoren officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 1-2pm preceding the service. Memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Association - West Michigan or Arthritis Foundation of West Michigan.
