With heavy hearts we announce the death of Laurel Fern (Desourdy) Dean of Nashville, MI. who passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022 surrounded by her family, at the age of 76. Laurel was born in Everett, Mass. on January 1,1946, to Harold and Marion Desourdy.

She graduated from Everett High School in 1964. She married Richard, the love of her life, in 1967 and enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Laurel worked as a paraprofessional at Fuller Street Elementary School where she enjoyed helping children further their education. She enjoyed shopping, crafts of all kinds, vacationing with family and trips to the Casinos. She was loved and cherished by so many people and although she remained in MI. for all these years she never lost that Boston accent.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Richard W. Dean, her children Rick (Bobbie Jo) Dean, Kristin Dean and Kerri (Rob) Gray. Also her grandchildren Ricky, Jenny, Tannon, Taylon, Karson and Casey, great-granddaughter River, brother-in-law Jake O'Malley, and nephew Brian O'Malley. She was preceded in death by her mother Marion Woods Desourdy and her sister Nancy O'Malley.
