Larry Lee Hill, age 83 went to be with his Lord and Savior August 19, 2023. He was born on June 15, 1940 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mildred Hill sisters Linda (Dave) Hunt,   Sharon Briggs, and daughter-in-law, Diane Miller. He is survived by his wife Joan (Olthouse) Hill of 62 years along with his sons Craig, Kevin, Chad and daughter–in- law, Sally Hill; grandchildren Alisha (Rob) Rector, Ali Mendoza, Elias Mendoza, Jake Krasean, Jaime Krasean, Jessica (Bryn) Lymburner, Jaylee Hill: great grandchildren, Caleb Rector, Dylan Rector, Elena Lymburner, Blaire Lymburner, Landon Steffens, Jayden Pinning, and Pierson Pinning.

Larry served on the Fire Department for many years. His colleagues stated they always felt safe fighting fires with him due to his composure and always remaining calm. Larry will be remembered by many, for the love he had for his family. He devoted his life to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing off his dock, fixing cars, and visiting with friends. Larry had a heart for people and would help anyone with a problem. He was always willing to offer a helping hand. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. A gathering of family and friends will take place Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Knapp Church in Grand Rapids, MI. Celebration of Larry's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart association or to a charity of your choice.
