Herbert
February 9, 1945 – February 11, 2022
Larry A. Herbert of Delton, Michigan, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on February 11, 2022. He was born to Russell and Kathryn (Wibalda) Herbert of Delton, Michigan, on February 9, 1945.
Larry was a 1963 graduate of Delton Kellogg Schools. He went on to work at Georgia Pacific from which he retired. On July 30, 1994, Larry married the love of his life, Denise (Anders), the woman he adored. During their nearly 28 years of marriage, they enjoyed camping, gardening and just plain spending time together and having fun.
Larry was a true outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and go mushrooming. In one of his most recent hunting adventures, he shot a trophy buck. It was the highlight of his hunting career. He passed on his love and knowledge of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren.
Larry was a man of great love and compassion. When he loved you, he loved you with his whole heart and you knew it. Larry had four cherished children that valued his love more than they could ever put into words, Rick Herbert, Kris Herbert, Kelly (Chad) Mullins and Nicole (Barry) Mitchell.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Denise; children, Kris, Kelly and Nicole; grandchildren, Thane Herbert, Austin Herbert, Roby Mullins, Mikayla Du Shane, MaCoy, Jaiylen and Aliyah Mitchell, and brother Wayne (Mary) Herbert. He is preceded in death by his dearly loved son Rick, and his parents.
