Larry J. Hanenburg of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 66, died on July 13, 2020. He was born to Preston and Ramona (Vandenburg) Hanenburg on July 19, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois.
Larry was an avid golfer who enjoyed reading and singing in his church choir. He was a graduate of Calvin College and self-taught computer geek - learning a number of early programming languages and spending the majority of his career in IT.
Larry is survived by his son, Stephen (Lauri) Hanenburg, and granddaughters Katherine and Mallory Hanenburg; siblings Linda and William Hoekstra, Daniel and Marilyn Hanenburg, Paul Hanenburg, Peggy and Scott Homerding; and brother-in-law William Buikema. He is also survived by his long-time friend, Marge Salna. He was predeceased by his sister, Debra Buikema.
Larry will be remembered in a private ceremony later this month. Memorial contributions may be directed to his long-time church home, Alger Park Christian Reformed Church.
