Larry Hugh Brower of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 80, passed away on October 4, 2023.

He was born to Lloyd and Jean Brower on October 13, 1942.

Larry was a graduate of Wyoming Park High School and Michigan State University.

Larry worked for Becker Auto Supply and Napa Auto Parts.

Larry followed his Michigan State Spartans in football, basketball, and women's basketball and softball. He was also a big fan of Grand Valley softball.

His real passion was open wheel racing, especially USAC racing, the Indianapolis 500, Silver Crown cars, Sprint cars and Midget cars. He traveled many miles every year following the races in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Florida.

Larry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Janice Brower, nephew Ryan Brower (Deanne), niece Kelly Tompkins and great nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Hailey and Sylvia Brower, JR, Ainsley, Autumn, Peter and Jase Tompkins, Amanda, Trevor, and Kyle Pisoni. He is also survived by his life long friends Tom and Pat Slager.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Jean Brower and baby brother, Rex.
