Lance Lee Peters, age 55, of Schoolcraft, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo on May 9, 2025.

Lance was born on December 20, 1969, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Richard and Vivian Peters (Thompson). He attended both Muskegon Oakridge and Schoolcraft Public Schools, graduating in 1988.

A skilled craftsman, Lance worked for many years in the construction field as an expert drywaller and finisher. He took great pride in his work and was known for his attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Lance had a deep love for his children, as well as his nieces and nephews, all of whom brought great joy to his life. A passionate sports fan and outdoorsman, Lance especially enjoyed hunting and cheering on the Detroit Lions with his nephews. As a child, he was a talented pitcher and basketball player with a strong competitive spirit.

Known for his sharp wit and generous heart, Lance had a special way of making people laugh and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His kindness, humor, and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lance is survived by his loving mother, Vivian Thompson; his sisters, Michele Peters and Nicole Clark (Benny Clark Jr.); his daughters, Lyndsie Peters and Ariel Peters; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Peters, and his brother, Raymond Troy Peters.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 25, 2025 at 3:00 PM at 26656 Rosemary Lane Lawton MI, 49065.
