July 23, 1990 – April 25, 2020
Kyle Forrest Ledy, age 29, passed away at his home in Allendale Township, Ottawa County, Michigan after a 24-year battle with cancer.
Kyle was born July 23, 1990 to Jon and Beth (Moldovan) Ledy. Kyle grew up and lived in Freeland, Michigan for most of his life. He attended Freeland schools. He last attended Delta College working on prerequisites toward a Bachelor's Degree in Health, Fitness and Diet.
Growing up in Freeland, he participated in Little League baseball and basketball. Kyle was an avid outdoorsman loving anything to do with fishing and hunting and developed lifelong friends in the pursuit of these sports. He also was a dedicated weight-lifter and body builder participating in Tough-Mudder and powerlifting contests. He spent his last two years in Allendale hoping to complete his degree. In his last year Kyle continued to weightlift, fish and hunt with his father and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his mother, visiting local parks and walking his dog, Maggy.
During his 24-year battle he was faced with numerous challenges and overcame them, never complaining. He braved those years with boundless courage, strength and determination. His perseverance and optimistic attitude never ceased. Kyle's wit and infectious grin endeared him to all. He leaves a lasting impact and will forever be sorely missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Kyle is survived by his father and mother, his older brother Derek and wife Lindsey (Schultz), niece Lily, nephew Wyatt and his Grandmother Mary Ledy.
A memorial will be held in his honor in Freeland to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to "Make a Wish Foundation."
