Kristin Arlene Griggs, age 77, of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away at home on January 19, 2025, after living with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis for several years.
Born in Midland, Michigan, Kristin graduated from Midland High School and continued her education at Central Michigan University. In 1973, she met her husband, Larry, on a blind date, and they were married two years later. They have two children, Michael and Jennifer.
Kristin is survived by her husband Larry; her son Michael and his wife Loy, their two children Asia and Jiannee; her daughter Jennifer and her three children, Haley, Tyler, and Eryn; and her brother Cameron. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Tammy and Jamie; her brother Hugh; and her parents, James and Virginia Hall.
Kristin was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her faith, family, and friends. She was a beautiful soul who was kind, compassionate, and God fearing. Kristin was a member of the Grandville Church of Christ. She was an avid reader who was often found with her Kindle in hand and had a love for flowers, birds, and gardening. Kristin was kind and positive in her approach to life. Her lively personality will be missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life to honor Kristin will be announced at a later time.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Ofield Funeral Home, Kentwood MI.
