Kirsten Mork, 33, of Lowell, Michigan passed away April 13, 2026 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a devastating struggle with brain cancer. She was born on May 18, 1992 to Janine and Steve Mork in Ft. Collins, CO. She graduated from Lowell High School in 2010 and Douglas J Aveda Institute in 2014. She most recently worked for the City of Ionia.

She was a beloved daughter, loyal sister, doting auntie, wonderful friend, and pet mom to her dogs Dallas and Echo, and cat Blue. Kirsten loved the beauty of nature: sunsets, sunflowers, and springtime, especially if she could enjoy them from the comfort of her own home, cuddled on the couch with her dogs. Preferably with a book or Diet Coke in her hand.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Grete and Jorgan Mork and Florence and Gregory Groshek. She is survived by her parents Janine and Steve, sister Ellen and brother-in-law Aziz, her beloved niece Aissa, sister Katy, uncles and aunts Jim (Maryanne), Jerry, Steve (Tiffany), Greg (Kathi), and Susan, and cousins Ivan (Tina) and Michael. 

A celebration of her life will be held at First Congregational Church in Lowell, MI at 1pm on May 16th, 2026. Please bring your favorite photos and stories of Kirsten to share. Donations of time or money can be made to Lowell’s Open Table in Kirsten’s name.
