February 28, 2014 Service: March 5, 2014 Khalil Salim Shatara, aged 90, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord, Friday, February 28, 2014. Surviving are his wife, Suhad Karadsheh Shatara, children, Bassam, Sami, Basel, Randa, Shireen and Niveen, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Salamaeh, Abraham, Miladeh, Souad and Afaf and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 5th at 11:00am in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1800 44th Street SE, Kentwood, with Reverend Godfrey Onyekwere officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE.
