Kenneth Howard Osborne passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 from complications following a gallbladder removal. Ken resided in the West Michigan area most of his life, having graduated from Ravenna High School. Ken was class president for two of the years he attended high school and also acted in school plays. Ken's working life included being a parts manager at Dobbins and Windatts and body shop manager at Windatts. He went on to become an insurance adjuster and then an insurance agent at AAA for 32 years. He was also an insurance agent at Farm Bureau for 20 years. During that same time, he was an Claims Adjuster for Burns & Bowne.
Ken was a member of the Efficiency Community when he was with AAA and was a Past President of the Breakfast Optimist Club. Ken's hobbies included singing karaoke, auctions and collecting old cars. He was a fan of baseball, football and hockey. He enjoyed building large projects, making people happy and meeting his friends for coffee. Ken loved spending time with his family and watching his children and grandchildren grow to be wonderful people! He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Gladys and Nicholas Haan, his father Charles Osborne, his brother Donald LePla, step-sisters Donna Lawrence and Joyce VanHaver, wife Carol Osborne; lifetime friend Roger Price and friends Jim Ricco, Dick Veurink and Chris West. He is survived by his sister Carolyn Raymond, daughters Cyndi Hardy, Zo Turner, Christine Osborne, Katie Muckey, and son-in-law Michael Hardy. He is survived by his grandchildren Kian Bird (husband Brandon), Cameron Hardy (wife Alyssa), Aaron Diehl, Angie Hardy, Zack, Jessica and Jake Patterson, Laura Rumble (husband Christopher) Thomas and Kenneth Muckey and Emma Sales; his great-grandchildren Valarie and Violet Bird, Sophia, Savanna and Isaac Rumble, Natasha and Silas Hardy and Ezra Patterson. Ken is also survived by his special friends David and Ginger Johnson, Maria Harker, Rick Elwell, Shirley Kallas, Glenn Masterson, Bill Muckey, Roger Price Jr., Brandon Sales, Al Stroka, Stan Vandenbosch, Cathy West, Tom Wilea, Candy Cota, and others. A memorial service will be scheduled this summer.
