Kenneth Eugene Mete, aged 84, passed away peacefully in the company of his family on Saturday, May 5, 2018. He was born in Breese, IL in 1934. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Susie Mae Mete (Parr); his children Steven Mete (Mary), David Mete (Diana), and Debra Sellers; his grandchildren - Jessi Mete, Kaleigh Mete, Michelle Nastaj (Zac), Craig Sellers Jr., Rebecca Mete, Kayla Mete, Lindsey Barron, Adam Barron, and Drew Barron; great grandchildren - Anaria Porter, Xyonna Porter, and Paul Brown Jr; siblings - Carol Becker (Harry) and Janet Monken; and nieces and nephews - Craig Sackett (Priscilla), Bruce (Anna), and Brian; and many great nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 11 A.M. with visitation 1 hr prior at 10 A.M. at Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood). Memorial donations may be made to the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard.
