Obituary

Kenneth E. Hood-Hood, age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Grandville, MI. He is survived by his loving brothers George Hoodhood, Chuck Hoodhood, his sister Eva Kaleel, and by his sons Rocky, Rory, Randy, Roby and their families Lisa, Toni, Dalton, Dakota, Halston and Havin Hood. He was loved dearly by them all. Ken was born in Grand Rapids, MI where he called home his entire life. Ken, an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed all that Michigan had to offer. Growing up, he excelled in sports and was an All-City baseball player and an accomplished Golden Gloves boxer. He met the late Bonnie Hood who became his wife and partner forever. They founded together the baton twirling organizations "Bonnie Blue Bells" and "The New Olympians" which became a hit and performed yearly at the Calder Festival in downtown Grand Rapids. Ken was a staple at parades throughout MI where he specialized in displaying the famous New Olympians parade float and performers. Ken wanted everyone to know he had a long wonderful life.
