Obituary

Keagan Jeffrey Fisher, 23, of Rochester Hills, MI, was unexpectedly called Home on January 3, 2024.

Born in Grand Rapids, MI to Jeff and Jamie (Bron) Fisher on February 27, 2000, Keagan was the best big brother to his sisters Lyndsey (Hudson) Yoder and Gabi Fisher. He grew up knowing what it meant to love and be loved, and even as an adult he cherished time with his family. He deeply loved his girlfriend, Delaney Puckett, and had given her a promise ring this Christmas.

Keagan had a way of making everyone feel loved and seen. When he was in kindergarten, he brought stickers with him trick-or-treating because he wanted everyone who gave him candy to get something, too. In second grade he asked his mom to teach him Spanish so he could invite a friend who didn't speak English in his class over to play.

When his family moved from Michigan to Tarpon Springs, FL, Keagan made many friends, excelled academically, was Student Council Secretary and then President, and was active in his church youth group. When Keagan and his family moved back to Jenison, MI, he reconnected with old friends, made new friends, and continued to perform well in school. He won several medals at the district and state levels in Science Olympiad and was often a chair leader in the orchestra. He loved all music, and at any given time could be heard singing along to 80s rock music or playing his cello.

Keagan was active in Wyldlife in junior high and Young Life in high school. While he grew up in church and was confirmed at age 11, Keagan's relationship with God became deeply personal on a summer trip to Castaway Camp in 2018.  When asked about his faith, he confidently recited John 3:16, knowing what Jesus had done for him and that there was a place for him in Heaven.

From an early age, Keagan enjoyed collecting information. He knew the top 10 finalists from every season of American Idol, tracked all the power combinations of Pokemon characters, and could organize his matchbox cars in dozens of ways based on different characteristics. He knew he wanted to be a statistician before he knew what statistics were. He studied each season of Survivor and could often predict the winner based on things like the amount of screen time each contestant received and certain phrases they were recorded saying. He loved finding patterns and making sense of the world he knew.

After graduating from Jenison High School in 2018, Keagan earned a bachelor's degree in Statistics from Grand Valley State University in 2023. He and Delaney then moved to Rochester Hills where Keagan worked for Zatkoff Seals and Packaging.

Keagan loved to travel, often sharing stories of his trip out west with his two best friends, which included a stop at Devil's Tower, the Grand Canyon, and Zion National Park. He hoped to visit every national park in the country, as well as every continent in the world.

With a front-row seat to the beauty of heaven and earth, Keagan was met in heaven by his great-grandparents, several great aunts and uncles, his "Grandma Dee Dee," Wendee (Sage) Brandenburg, his second-cousin Kensley Grace Shepard, and his beloved dog, Kinko.

Keagan will be lovingly remembered for his sarcastic wit and quirky sense of humor, his unmatched commitment to the reality show Survivor, his deep love and devotion for his family, and his boundless giving spirit. His final gift was the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

While his friends and family will feel the Keagan-sized holes in their hearts for a long time, they are comforted in the knowledge that they will be reunited with him one day. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ofield Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., preceded by a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
