Katie Elizabeth Foster of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2023. She was born on April 2nd, 2004 to Brandon Foster and Rebecca Slazek.
Katie was a beautiful presence who made our lives better in so many ways. She was so good at writing and singing. She loved music with a passion. She loved to make everyone happy, she would go out of her way to make sure her family and friends were happy and had what they needed. She attended St. John Vianney's as a child and then attended Byron Center schools for the rest of her time as a student. She loved tennis while she was in school and she always loved shopping and going to parks as a young child.
Katie is survived by her mother Rebecca Slazek and father Brandon Foster. She had a blended family including her Step Mother Nicole Foster, step-sister Jada, step-brother Blake Slazek, and her step father Ron Slazek. Her grandparents Timothy Foster, Dawn and Dan Taliaferro great grandma Pat Dean as well as her great aunts Deb Lampani, Dea Johnson, Her grandparents Charles and Judy Syren, uncle and aunt Chad and Lindsey Foster, Aunt Ashley and Uncle Lance McCalmon, cousins Ian, Ryker, and Deklyn Foster, Her cousins Dawn and Eric Krieger, Tim and Arrin Johnson, her aunts and uncles Andy and Mandy Syren and their children Emeline and Conlin, Eric and Kelly Syren and their children Ryan and Mallory.
There will be a Memorial service Friday February 3rd at 11am at Grand Rapids First church in Wyoming, Michigan.
