Kathryn Ann Jones, known to all as Kathy, was born September 11, 1955 in Muskegon, MI to Lyle and Hazel Bennett. She grew up in West Michigan and settles into Grand Rapids. She was the proud mother of three sons, Tyler Mays, Timothy Mays and Jeremy Mays. She was always there for her siblings as well. She served our elders as a dedicated caregiver for Porter Hills for over 30 years with passion, dedication and intuition of rare quality. She enjoyed gardening, sowing quilts for her loved ones, music, art and cooking. She passed in the early morning hours on December first of lung cancer. She was in the comfort and care of her closest family and friends until the end. She was preceded in death my her grandparents Harold and Leta Bennett, whom she was very close to, as well as her parents, Lyle and Hazel, her brothers Joe and Bill. She is survived by all of her sons, her sisters, Leta, Elizabeth and Alice and her brothers, Walter, Edward, Jesse and Jacob, her daughter in law, Jessica, her grandchildren Selina, Gabrielle, Caitlyn, Janeye, Jalen, Tyson and Jada, her great-grandchildren, Brazil and Zalayah. She did not want a memorial or funeral service but a Celebration of Life, which her family will be organizing to take place in the Spring of 2019.
