Kathryn Curl, born on October 22, 1956, in Marquette, Michigan, passed away on August 17, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

For 51 years, Kathryn shared a devoted partnership with her husband, Ken Curl. Together they raised four children: Ernest, James (Joyce), Otis, and Carla. Her life was further enriched by five grandsons and two granddaughters. She also held a deep connection with her mother, Mary Loonsfoot, whose presence was a steady comfort throughout her life.

One of eleven siblings, Kathryn's world was beautifully interwoven with the lives of her brothers and sisters. Her twin sister Karen Selby held a particularly special place in her heart. She is also remembered by Jean (Russ) Wierenga, Robert Loonsfoot, Allen (Reyetta) Loonsfoot, Rose Petzik, Vicki Frank, Tim (Kelly) Loonsfoot,
Wayne (Florence) Loonsfoot, Cindy (Jerry) Curtis, Mike (Rhonda) Loonsfoot, and Christine Loonsfoot. The joy of many nieces and nephews added light and laughter to her days.

Kathryn now journeys beyond this world to reunite with loved ones who passed before her—her father Ernest Leo Loonsfoot, brother Ronald Murray, and sister Dawn Loonsfoot—embarking together on what has been tenderly called their eternal bus ride into rest.

A visitation was held on August 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE. A funeral service followed at the same location at 3:00 PM.
