Kathleen (Kathy) Adele Rossi was born February 27, 1945 in Alma, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Helen Detloff of Alma, Michigan. She is survived by her loving husband, Tony, two sons, Ryan and Andy, her granddaughter Eva, sisters Joanne Nauart, Geri Miller, Gloria Grant (Jim) and her brother Russ (Kathie).

Kathy attended the Grand Rapids School of Cosmetology. As a beautician, she enjoyed her interaction with her faithful customers for many years and became and instructor Her sisters also enjoyed the benefits she extended to them.

Kathy had a strong Catholic background and was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids. She was a special person, an inspiration to everyone she met. Her smile concealed the effects that juvenile diabetes brought on her body. She radiates a special glow even when she wasn't feeling well. Kathy walked with Jesus. She invited him into her every-day life. She kept  journal and wrote down her thoughts as if she was talking with Him and waited for words of guidance from Him.

In their later years, Katy and Tony resided at Medilodge Assisted Living. Even though her diabetes was taking its toll, she lovingly cared for Tony as he progressed through the dreadful illness of alzheimer's.

She passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024. Kathy is walking with Jesus this day.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parnell on May 14, 2024. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m and Mass will be at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at The Assumption of the Blessed Mary Cemetery in Belmont at a later date.
