Katherine (Kitty) Sue Simpson was born to the late John and Helen (Burns) Varney. She is preceded in death by her siblings. She has six children, two sons John and Thomas have previously passed. She was a homemaker, and a bit of a nomadic spirit in her younger years. Mom worked at El Rey's Adult Foster Care home in Houghton Lake, MI.
We are so thankful for the staff at SKLD Long term assistance care. We would also like to share our gratitude for Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus Rennuci Home that provided her with hospice care in her final hours, as she passed from pneumonia complications associated with corona virus.
She will be remembered by her children; Shellie Hendershot (late husband David) of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, Kelly (Keith) Tett, Terri Simpson (Terry Rieger), Troy Simpson, all of Grand Rapids, thirteen grandchildren that will cherish the memories that were made with her, thirty two great grand children, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephew, and great great nieces and nephews. There are friends and acquaintances that will miss her presence as well.

A graveside service for Katherine, will be held at a later date due to Covid-19, when we can all be together, at Eastlawn Memorial Garden Cemetery and Mausoleum in Saginaw, Mi. Services are under the direction of Simply Cremation and Funeral Care.

She slipped away into the light, dancing her way out of sight. May she rest in peace.
