Kary Lee DeVriendt, age 66, of Kentwood, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born on September 25, 1955, in Portsmouth, Virginia, at the U.S. Naval hospital to Richard and Nora DeVriendt (Belden).

Kary attended Kellogsville High School and graduated from East Kentwood High School. She worked for many years as a machine operator at Pridgeon and Clay. People will always remember her for being a very hard worker who was always on the go. She absolutely loved her grandchildren and would do anything for them.

Kary will be missed dearly by her children: Antonio Castillo, Justin DeVriendt, and Tilishia Elliott; grandchildren: Austin and Dakota Castillo and Deion, Jasmine, and Kaden Elliott; and brother, Rick DeVriendt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Dustin Castillo; and siblings: Debbie, David (Bonnie Cole), Zina "Fawn", Susan "Goober", and Tina.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood. Service Details. Visitation
