Karl Cochran, 72 of Allegan Michigan (formally Grand Rapids) died peacefully July 7th, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Rose (Lipscomb) Cochran, Raymond Mesunas, Percy Cochran, son Michael Cochran, grandson Karl Raymond Cochran, sisters Karen (Fred) Sheele, Maryann Hicks and brother Daniel Cochran. He is survived by his loving wife Donna (Stankus) Cochran, his children Amy (Ernest) Taylor, Stacy (Ron) Peacock and Denise (Richard) Mouser. Also surviving are his grandchildren Kimberly Cochran, Kyle Cochran, Kellee Dogger, Chelsea Cochran, Jacob and Alexander Cochran, and Richard and Morgan Mouser. His great grandchildren Zeb, Wyatt, Breeanne, Curtis, Sonny-Karl, Jackson and Harleigh. His Sister Diane (Keith) Granger. Also a special friend Denise Smith. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Karl was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved nature and the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Karl also proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era in 1966 through 1968, volunteering for many heroic missions. He was point man when going through the jungles and carrying out the wounded or deceased soldiers. Whenever anyone mentioned anything regarding his heroism, he just replied "I just did what I had to do to survive". According to Karl's wishes there will be no funeral service. Celebration of Karl's life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
