Kaighn D. Hankins, 59, of White Pigeon, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his home. Kaighn was born February 14, 1963 in Lafayette, IN to William J. and Mary (Dugdale) Hankins. He was a 1981 graduate of Westview High School.

Kaighn is survived by his daughters, Kiana Hankins of Victor, ID and Kiaya Hankins of Vicksburg, MI; brothers, Kent Hankins of Petaluma, CA; Kyle Hankins of Elkhart, IN; Kean (Janet) Hankins of Chapel Hill, NC; Cody (Courtney) Darling of Bell, FL and sister, Kea (Rodney) Sutton of Columbus, GA; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kaighn was a loving brother, a doting father, and adoring uncle. He was a free spirit, and a very kind and generous person. Helping others was a way of life for Kaighn, whether helping family, friends or neighbors. He was always willing to roll up his sleeves and help anyone in need. He knew no strangers. Kaighn was very passionate about his recovery from addiction and volunteered numerous years helping others with their recovery. He was an excellent craftsman, always working with his hands creating beautiful woodwork throughout the years. He had many friends and was loved by all who knew him. In his free time, he loved spending time riding his Harley Davidson, Shirley; and with his two daughters, Kiana and Kiaya. He was so proud of them. His girls were his whole world, and him theirs.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 12:00 noon.
