IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Justin Donald Louis
Post
February 13, 1976 – July 6, 2025
Justin Donald Louis Post, affectionately known to many as J-Rock, J-Pa, or Crusty Justy, passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 49 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Born on February 13, 1976, at Butterworth Hospital, Justin lived a life full of creativity, laughter, and heart. A gifted painter with a wild imagination and steady hand, Justin's talent left a mark not only on canvases but on the hearts of those lucky enough to know him.
Justin's love for music ran deep — he was a proud bass guitarist who jammed in many different bands over the years, always bringing energy and soul to every stage. He also had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and time in the woods. When he wasn't making music or art, he could often be found working on his beloved Harley — which his granddaughter Ensley lovingly referred to as his "bicycle."
Above all, Justin cherished time with his family. He was most at home when surrounded by his daughter Kiah, son-in-law Andy, and especially his granddaughter Ensley, who lit up his world and gave him a special kind of joy that words can't quite capture.
Justin is survived by his daughter Kiah, son in law Andy, and granddaughter Ensley Quist; his siblings Jopp and Kelly Post, Misty and Joe Walkons, Cerissa O'Neal and his mother Jackie O'Neal. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews: Phoebe, Polly, Raven, Charleigh, Margo, Hazel, Alex, and Landon. He is preceded in death by his mother Michelle Post and father Donald Post, who surely greeted him with open arms.
A celebration of Justin's life will be held at Ofield Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13, 2025. A Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at Rockford Community cabin at 2:00 p.m.
Though he left us too soon, Justin's spirit — bold, kind, funny, and fiercely loving — will always be with us. As he would say, " arrivederci!"
