June Wygant, 87 of East Leroy, went to be with her Savior, while peacefully at her home on April 17, 2019. June was born in Battle Creek, MI, to Oliver and Clara (Van Wagner) Gable. She was born on December 26, 1931. She spent her youth in Johnston Township, graduating from Hastings High school in 1950. June worked for Clark Equipment for thirty years, aiding the heavy machinery business' legal team. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, reading, bird-watching, gardening, and spending time with family. In her younger years she appreciated fast cars and high heel shoes, but she left those things behind for sensible cars and shoes. June's faith in Jesus was the most important thing in her life. She was never a judgmental woman, only a true example of how a Christian should act. She was charitable and kind. She honored her elders, and put others before herself, while living selflessly and lovingly. Her one of a kind soul touched many lives and through that June led many people to become true believers. To June, that was her greatest accomplishment, especially when it was a family member. She is survived by her brothers; Russell (Evelyn) Gable, Clark Gable, and Robert (Betty) Gable, three daughters; Cindy (Thomas) Carter, Sheri (Bud) Babcock and Dawn Thomas,18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandkids along with much more extended family. To June, her legacy was everything. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Clarence, Carl, and Ruth Gable and her beloved youngest daughter Jackie (Scott) Coffman. A memorial for June will take place at her home church, Bedford Bible Church, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2 p.m. The service will be followed by a meal in the church gym.
