In Loving Memory of Julie Ann (Lenton) Anderson
April 2, 1959 – November 3, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julie Ann (Lenton) Anderson, age 67, of Douglas, Michigan, who peacefully passed away on November 3, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on April 2, 1959, in Austintown, Ohio, Julie was the beloved daughter of Elvira Anne (Grinta) Letoha and Robert Martin Letoha.
Julie was raised Catholic and carried a deep, unwavering faith throughout her life. Her devotion was pure and genuine, and never judgmental.
Julie’s zest for life could be felt by everyone around her. She was endlessly determined to accomplish anything that life put before her. Julie will be remembered for her endless optimism, radical kindness, strong sense of humor, hilarious sassy attitude, and for being fiercely protective of those she loved.
Julie had a long and fulfilling career with Johnson Controls in Holland, Michigan. In her retirement, she worked for one year at West Shore Marina in Saugatuck. Later in life, Julie pursued her bachelor’s degree from Davenport University, graduating with high honors—an accomplishment she was very proud of. She was a brain tumor survivor and overcame many obstacles in life with grace and strength.
Throughout her dynamic life, Julie enjoyed baking delicious Italian and Hungarian treats for her family. She was an incredible seamstress, frequently sewing her children’s and grandchildren’s Halloween costumes or her husband’s boat covers. Julie enjoyed athletics and, most of all, running. Her biggest accomplishments included running the Chicago Marathon for the brain tumor association and even qualifying for and finishing the Boston Marathon. Julie loved sunny boat days with her family and miniature schnauzers.
Above all else, Julie loved her family and especially loved spending time with her girls, Loren and Kaitlyn. She fiercely loved and was loved fiercely in return by all who met her.
Julie is survived by her husband, Craig John Anderson; daughters, Loren Parry and Kaitlyn Anderson; grandchildren, Niko Hernandez and Hazel Taylor; brothers, Thomas Lenton and Theodore Lenton; cousins, George Grinta, Jim Grinta, Jeff Grinta, and dozens of others. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by Rose Grinta, Luigi Grinta, Anthony Letoha, Juliana Letoha, Robert Martin Letoha, Elvira Ann (Grinta) Letoha, Ruth Grinta, and many others whose memories we cherish.

A celebration of Julie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 14, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at the Saugatuck Yacht Club, located at 15 Park Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate a beautiful person who touched many lives. Though she is no longer here in her earthly body, her memory lives on in our hearts, the cardinals, the hummingbirds, the rainbows, and anything beautiful or delightfully silly. A woman like Julie can never be forgotten.
