Julia Ellen Donovan, age 95, passed away Sunday June 13, 2021.

Julia was born to Henry and Dulcie (Moore) Tingley on June 1, 1926 in Orleans, Michigan on her family farm. Julia was the youngest of four children and was married to Wesley John Donovan for 64 years.

Wesley preceded Julia in death in 2011. Julia is also preceded in death by her sister, Genevieve, brothers, Paul and Basil and grandson, Hunter.

Julia was a 1944 graduate of Belding High School. After graduation, Julia moved to Grand Rapids and worked at the American Seating Company, assisting in the WWII war efforts. In 1947, Julia married Wesley John Donovan. Together they have five surviving children; Linda (Bill) Prescott, Ada, Michigan; Cindy (Scott ??) White, Reno, Nevada; David (Anne) Donovan, St. Louis, Missouri; Brian (special friend Tana) Saranac Michigan and Glenna (Philip) Martin, Clemson, South Carolina. Julia leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, and a great niece and nephew.

Julia loved the game of golf, playing bridge, completing puzzles, afternoon bingo and hand making Christmas stockings for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their care and compassion. A special thank you to her nurse, Melissa and social worker, Rachel for their kindness and support.

There will be a family Celebration of Life in Michigan in July, 2021. The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in Julia's name to Kindred Hospice, 625 Kenmoor Ave SE #115 Grand Rapids Charter Township, Mi 49546 Michigan.
