Judy Lynn Chesser (Truman) born January 12, 1954 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, died July 20, 2026 at Rose Arbor Hospice after a valiant battle with terminal cancer. 

She is survived by her husband Richard Chesser, her children Jennifer and Michael, along with 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sister Joyce (Dave) Scribner and brothers George (Linda) Truman and David (Judy) Truman, sisters-in-law Shiela Dubbeld, Lisa Smith, Laurie McDowell, Ava McDowell, brothers-in-law Terry McDowell, Benjamin Dubbeld, and Mike Smith as well as many nieces and nephews. Judy graduated from Portage Central High School in 1970. Judy and Rich were married 55 years. Judy followed a position with Asgrow Seeds to Salinas, California and on to Simi Valley, California and Moses Lake, Washington, moving back to Kalamazoo to be near family in retirement. 

She traveled extensively across the US and Canada with specials trips to Scotland and England and a cruise to Alaska. Judy kept in touch with her many friends. She was a quilter who gifted her many quilts to family members and was a baker as well. 

Cremation has taken place and a family remembrance get together will take place at a later date.
