Judy Carol (Fewell) Biener, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025. She
was born on June 17, 1939 in Three Rivers, Michigan, the daughter of Gene Fewell and Mary
(Carter) Fewell. The family moved to Grand Rapids when she was two years old. She was
preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kent Fewell.

Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years, James (Jim) Biener, sons Daniel and David
(Michael Marquardt), and grandchildren Apple, Marcelo, and Hannah.
Judy attended Aberdeen Elementary and Middle School and graduated from Creston
High School in 1957. She graduated from Grand Rapids Junior College in 1959. Judy attended
Western Michigan University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a major in education
and a minor in French in 1961.

Judy was known as a kind and gentle person, with a nice sense of humor. She was a
member of the Second Congregational Church for over 70 years. Her cremains will be interred in
the Second Congregational Church Memory Garden following a private memorial service to be
held at a later date..
