Mead, Joyce (Haight) age 82 On Friday April 20, 2018 with her loved ones by her side, she took her final breath as she let us say goodbye. She would not want us sad too long, because she heard those trumpets roar, saw those pearly gates & happily entered her heavenly home. After being born to Charles & Leta Haight (Seba) on June 28, 1935, she eventually became a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & "grandma great to 8." She will be remembered as a wonderful caregiver who loved to read, shop & spend time with "her people." She was a cheerful giver and did so daily. Preceding her in death besides her parents, are husband Ray Mead, brothers and sisters Gloria, Marvin, Bill & Bonnie. Surviving her are her children Patti (Rick) Smalley, Ron(Sandy) Mead, Helynn (Rob) Hansen, grand children Rose (David) Zaiger, Lani (Ray) Lowing, Candi Mead, Lindsay (James) Smith, Corey (Rachael) Hansen, Alex (Hillary) Hansen, great grands Nick, Matt, Kyla, Rem, Hailey, Elise, Elliott & Abel. Also brother Roger & sister Charlene as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. The family will meet relatives and friends Tuesday, April 24, from 7pm to 9pm and Wednesday, April 25, from 10am to 11am at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo SE, Kentwood. A funeral service will be held for Joyce at Ofield Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 25th at 11am, Pastor Luke Hansen presiding.
