JOYCE ELAINE BECKWITH Joyce Elaine Beckwith passed away on May 18, 2017 at Spectrum Health- Pennock Hospital. She was born January 28, 1927, the daughter of Frank and LeOra Newton in Hastings. She graduated at age 16 from Hastings High School in 1943. She worked as secretary and teller at the the National Bank of Hastings until she married Franklin (Ping) Beckwith on October 6, 1957. She was a long time member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs in Hastings. She enjoyed reading and watching nature from her back porch. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Courtney of Hastings, two granddaugters, Lori (Shane) Park of Chambersburg Pa and Liza Courtney of Hastings, four great grandchildren, Alex, Chase, Sydney, and Marah. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Lyle and Robert and her husband Ping. Per her wishes, Joyce was cremated by Simply Cremation and no service is planned at this time.
