April 12, 2013 Mr. Joseph W. "Joe" Nicolai, age 48, entered eternity on April 12, 2013, with family and friends at his side. Joe was born May 23, 1964, in Muskegon and was an area resident most of his life. He is survived by his mother, Peggy Whelpley of Grand Rapids, father Raymond (Joyce) Nicolai of Twin Lake, brother Mark (Michelle) Nicolai of Muskegon, sisters LuAnn (Gregory) Ejsmont of Grand Rapids, and Paula (Jamey) Foreman of Twin Lake; 12 nieces and nephews. Joe is also survived by special friend Kendall Scott and 17 year-old feline friend, Smokey Joe. He was preceeded in death by his grandparents. A celebration of life open house will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013, 2-4 pm at Fellowship Reformed Church, 4200 E. Apple Avenue, Muskegon.
