José Arturo Sandoval, age 67, a resident of Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by his wife and family.
He was born on March 24, 1958, in Ciudad Hidalgo, Michoacán, Mexico.
In 1976, at the age of 18, he pursued the American dream and immigrated to the United States. He worked in agriculture and the steel industry in California. To achieve his goals, he enrolled at Fresno Community College. Later, he attended the University of California, Davis, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Spanish, and was admitted to the UCLA School of Law.
In 1998, José married Rosa Margarita Miranda Albarrán, a woman he loved dearly.
José worked at the law firm of Richard Kessler; Sandoval Gardiner, P.C.; and later established his own firm, the Law Office of José Arturo Sandoval; Hendricks, Watkins & Sandoval, PLC. and finally Hendricks & Sandoval, PLC.
He is survived by his wife (Rosa Sandoval), his sons (Ariel Sandoval, Adrián Sandoval), his grandchildren, his stepson (Christian Lara), the Perez-Miranda family, and the De La Rosa Miranda family.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, located at 3138 Birchwood Ave SW, Grand Rapids. A mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at the same church, officiated by Rev. José Luis Quintana. Visitation will continue from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Ofield Funeral Home, located at 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood.

Nació el 24 de marzo de 1958 en Ciudad Hidalgo, Michoacán, México.
