IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Edward
Trudeau
June 3, 1952 – November 22, 2021
John Edward Trudeau of Baldwin Michigan, formerly Holland Michigan, died Monday,
November 22, 2021. He was born June 3, 1952 in Cheboygan Michigan.
John married the love of his life, Jo Ann, on August 28, 1992. Together they raised a blended
family of 3 sons and 2 daughters. John once commented that: "When we got married, we put
'em in a gunny sack, shook 'em up, and they weren't yours or mine anymore, they became
ours." This was a quote he attributed to his late father Roger Reed. Coming, as he did, from a
blended family, John understood the love that blended families could share. Together, John and
Jo raised their kids as brothers and sisters, no easy feat with 3 teenagers uneager for change.
It was not always a smooth journey, but the family they built cannot be ripped apart even by the
death of its patriarch.
John was preceded in death by his parents Virginia and Roger Reed. He is survived by his wife,
Jo Trudeau, his children, Jason Trudeau and his wife Ruby Castillo-Trudeau, Christopher
Trudeau, Penny Trudeau, Benjamin McDonald, and Cynthia Provo and her husband Frank
Provo, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his
brothers Terance Reed and his wife Whitney, Craag Reed and his wife Lisa, his sisters Tammy
Weaver, Celestine Minter and Wanda Darling as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will not be a service, but a celebration of life is being planned by his family for June of
2022. Service Details.
