John Steven Solak, 59, Coldwater MI, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1993. After graduation, he went into the Marine Corps for 4 years where he studied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and graduated with honors in 1987. John advanced through the ranks during and was a Corporal by the time he was honorably discharged.

He loved to read, put together models and enjoyed spending time with friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Gerald Solak, Grandparents, John B(Stella) Solak and Lawrence(Elizabeth) Kotrys. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth A Solak, Sisters: Sandra Worden of Tekonsha, MI, Theresa Solak of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Brothers: Brian Solak and William (Bill) Solak both of Coldwater, MI, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

We would like to thank the Veteran's Administration for helping him and the nurses, caregivers, and staff at Corewell Health Rehab & Nursing Center. Interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. A graveside service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery on June 26, 2025 at 3:00pm.
