John Walter Rendak 86, of Grand Rapids, MI. passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 7 at the Lena Meijer Heart Center. John was born on August 7, 1931 to John and Lottie Rendak of Grand Rapids. He attended Union High School where he graduated in 1948. After graduating John served in the United States Army as a Infantryman during the Korean War. After his service John worked for The city of Grand Rapids where he retired after 39 years of service. During his retirement, he enjoyed spending his time at the "CABIN" where he would watch the birds and deer hunt. John was a life member of the VFW, American Legion, 40/8 and The Polish Aide Society. John is preceded in death by his Infant son Robert, his parents John and Lottie and his wife Patricia. He is survived by his sister Virginia(Richard) Berry, his daughters Debra Rendak, Theresa Rendak, Marie Rendak and his son John (Gina) Rendak several grand children and nieces/nephews along with his companion Helen Small. A memorial service and luncheon will be held on June 28, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Club (Kosciuscko Hall) located at 935 Park St. SW G.R. MI. 49504 starting at 4 PM.
