John Frank Green, 61, of Grand Rapids, Michigan found peace on September 12, 2026.

His surviving family includes his children, Leeland and Irie Green, and their mother, Kim Young; his mother, Jenny Green; his sister, Carolyn (Marty) Rodriguez; his niece, Lauren Rodriguez; and his brother, Mark Green.

John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing (especially salmon), boating, paddleboarding, spearfishing in the islands, riding motorcycles and hiking with his dog Elvis. After graduating Andover High School in Bloomfield Hills, MI, John served in the United States Marine Corps for three years and was honorably discharged. He later ran his own home renovations company.

His children will lay his ashes to rest at Grand Haven Beach and the Platte River. No memorial or funeral is planned.
