December 16, 2013 Service: December 21, 2013 John Joseph "Doc" Duch aged 60 went to be with his heavenly father December 16, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his father Matthew George Duch, father-in-law Clarence Daniel Pratt, brother Gregory Duch, Aunt Stella Franchi, Aunt Mary Jane Stratton, step father Lyle Cerdaand Uncle Bruce Johnston. John is survived by his wife Cynthia Pratt-Duch, son John Richard, daughter Melissa, grandson Tyler McDonough, mother Viola Duch-Cerda, mother-in-law Jacqueline Pratt, Aunt Geraldine Hubbard, brothers and sisters, William (Dianne) Duch, Barbara (Steve) McArthur, Tina (Tom) Grover, David (Dalys) Duch, Mark (Sheila) Duch, Rendall (Brenda) Pratt, Jeff (Karen) Pratt; 28 nieces and nephews, 23 great nieces and nephews, and his friend Paul Zylema who has been more like a brother than a friend. Visitation will be Friday, December 20th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE. A funeral service will held Saturday, December 21st at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Arthur Taylor officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
