IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Patrick
Cull
January 15, 1964 – May 26, 2024
John Patrick Cull passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. He was lovingly surrounded by family and friends. Patrick was born on January 15, 1964 to John Philip Cull and Barb Benoit in St. Joseph, Michigan. He graduated from Ottawa Hills High School.
Patrick was known for his generous spirit and great sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a hand and had the gift of making people laugh! He used his love of laughter and care for people by serving the residents at Tanner Creek Elder Care in West Linn, Oregon for 20 years. As Activity Director, Patrick facilitated outings and experiences that brought delight to the residents. He loved them, and they loved him. He also loved music, mid-century modern architecture, and animals. He spent two weeks in Thailand, where he participated in the care of elephants at an elephant sanctuary.
Because it was his wish to be closer to his family, Patrick and his fiancé, Patti, moved back to Michigan in 2022. They wintered in Arizona. After retiring from his job at Tanner Creek, Patrick worked as an Uber driver in both Michigan and Arizona. He loved this work and met many memorable people.
True to his spirit of generosity, Patrick was an organ donor and provided the Last Act of Kindness. He will be a blessing to many.
Patrick is survived by his parents John Philip Cull (stepmom-Judy Cull); sister, Colleen (Dennis) Misner; niece Megan (Ryan) Powell; great-nieces Claire and Lyla. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barb Benoit Lipke.
Patrick's Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 29, 2-4 pm, at Cornerstone Church, 84th St Campus, 1675 84th St, Caledonia, Mi 49316.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Patrick's name to Critter Barn: 2950 80th Avenue, Zeeland, MI 49464
