John D Blaker, age 83, of Hudson, Michigan, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, and was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Patricia.

He was born on June 16, 1938, in Hudson, Michigan, to Gerald and Maxine Blaker. John graduated from Hudson High School in 1956. He joined the Army in 1957, serving in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1959.

John married his wife Patricia on June 7, 1967, in Angola, Indiana. They enjoyed 51 years together before she passed away in 2018.

During his work career, John worked as a screw machine operator, delivered for Star Dog Food Company, and was a commercial beekeeper for 30 years until he retired.

John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching Detroit Tigers and Pistons games.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, his daughters Patti Esch and Suzanne Lee, and his son Royal Taylor.

John is survived by his twin brother Jim (Barbara) Blaker of Loudon, TN; five children, Helen Taylor of Kalamazoo; Susan (James) Dickerson of Battle Creek; Mike Woodford of Greenville OH; Tammy (Mark) Richards of Grand Rapids; and Jay Blaker of Aurora OH; son-in-law Tony Esch of Edmore; daughter-in-law Dana Taylor of North Adams; 26 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date by his family.
