Joanne “Jo” Riley of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully at home on, Monday, June 8, 2026. Jo is survived by her husband of 55 years, William A. Riley; children, William H. Riley (Lindsey) and August Riley (Hutch); grandchildren, Aurora (Alex), Ethan, Vi and Lucy; and great-grandchildren, Simon, EmberLynn and Tatum.

Jo was a larger-than-life person. There wasn’t anything Jo couldn’t do when she put her to mind to it. That goes for making any situation the best for her family. Which made it easy for her to be a Jack of All Trades. Working anywhere from a sales associate in a department store, management in an auto parts store, to keeping the books for a grocery store. However, Jo’s favorite job was that of being an Air Force Wife.

She was a beloved wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
