Our mother, Joan Paffhausen, aged 90, of Clarksville, Michigan went to her heavenly home on March 10, 2024. She died peacefully at Trillium Woods Hospice with her family lovingly by her side.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Paffhausen.

She leaves behind her seven surviving children, Gail (Bob) McNinch, David (Stacy) Paffhausen, Cindy (Jerry) Sytsma, Mark (Kim) Paffhausen, Matt Paffhausen, Barbara Tremblay and Kelly (Jill) Paffhausen. She will be missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to thank the staff of Trillium Woods for their care in easing her discomfort. While there, Mom earned the title of Princess Buttercup. She loved that, and so did we.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Woodward Baptist Church located at 2160 76th St SW, Byron Center, MI, on Friday, March 15th, 2024. Visitation with the family will begin at 9:30am and the funeral service will begin at 11:00am.

Joan shared a passion for the Mercy Ships mission with her son, Mike. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made there. Envelopes and information will be provided at the church.
