October 1, 2013 Service: October 5, 2013 Joan M. Hawley, aged 67, passed away due to complication of Mysthenia Gravis and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She worked for the Ford Motor Company for 36 years before she retired and moved to Grand Rapids. She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Mary (Ryan) Eadie; grandson, Pierce Eadie; nieces, Cindy (John) Buchweitz, Becky (Jason) Spettel and their children. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 5, at St. Andrews Cathedral, 215 Sheldon Blvd SE. The family will greet friends and relatives at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and 1 hour prior to the service at church. A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 PM Friday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lemmen Holten Cancer Center.
