Obituary

Jerry Lee Webb, 76, of Jonesville, Michigan, passed away on February 27, 2022, at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan after fighting a battle with coronavirus. Jerry was born on April 17, 1945 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Everett and Doris (Scharp) Webb. Jerry graduated from Hillsdale High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Spring Arbor University. After high school Jerry fell in love with Jeannine Kay Helmick. Jerry and Jeannine were married on June 25, 1966. Jerry worked at and retired from Hillsdale Tool. Jerry also served in the United States Army at Fort Leonard Wood (Missouri), Frankfurt, Germany, and was a Vietnam War Veteran.
Once married, Jerry and Jeannine started a family and had two children; Jeri Lynn and Joel. Jerry was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was the kind of dad who called his daughter every evening and would ask each time about how all of his family was doing that day. Jerry was blessed to spend time with his son each day and loved visits from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being devoted to his family was most important to him and he did not disappoint when it came to loving them with his whole heart. He was always generous with his time and his always present support. He was his children's biggest fan. Even with his own health declining, he would visit his mom at least once each day.
Besides his family, Jerry loved being outdoors, his dog Remington and cat Tig, music including Stevie Nicks and The Eagles, his motorcycle, scary movies, and vacations like his recent trip to Daytona Beach.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannine, and his father, Everett. He is survived by his daughter, Jeri Lynn (Webb) Sumner, and husband, William; his son, Joel Lee Webb, and wife, Tanya. By his grandchildren; Caleb Webb, and fiancé Samantha Santi, Austin Webb, Tyler Sumner, and Mallory Sumner; his mother, Doris; his brother, Freddie Webb, and wife, Janyth, and their children; sister in-law Michelle Nicholson, her husband, Clement, and their children; and great-grandchildren, Adilynn, Alaina, and Cade.
Jerry was cremated and a private service was held for immediate family on March 5th, 2022. Donations may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Jerry's memory. Service Details.
