From the outset, Jerry's life was deeply rooted in the values of hard work and community. Raised by his loving parents, Doris (Tootie) and Cecil Morse, who both predeceased him, he was a proud graduate of Delton Kellogg School. Jerry's early years were an indication of the man he would become, as he worked tirelessly at Menasha Corp. paperboard division in Otsego, MI. His ambition and drive saw him attend Kalamazoo Valley Community College, where he excelled as a Millwright Electrician and Oiler. Before retiring at the age of 62, Jerry devoted 29 years to perfecting his craft, leaving a mark of diligence and excellence for others to follow.

The love story of Jerry and Vicky (Minshall) Gray began in Orangeville, MI, and blossomed into a marriage of 45 years, beginning with their wedding on March 7, 1980. Their love was a testament to commitment and mutual respect, with Jerry's parents serving as Matron of Honor and Best Man in a ceremony shared with close family and friends. Jerry and Vicky's partnership was unbreakable, a true example of love in its purest form, which remained steadfast until Jerry's untimely departure.

Jerry's zest for life was evident through his myriad interests. An avid golfer, he enjoyed countless rounds at Mullenhurst Golf Course with his beloved Vicky. His hobbies were as diverse as his personality, spanning from hunting in his younger years to tending his garden and operating his backhoe to help others. Fishing was more than a hobby—it was an act of camaraderie and humor, especially with his best friends, Roger Williams and Steve Halsey, with whom he shared countless laughs and friendly competitions. Together, Jerry and Vicky hosted fish fries at their private Bluegrass music gatherings, creating a community of shared joy and friendship.

Jerry's life was one of unspoken generosity, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. He was the beacon of light and laughter in the lives of many, a man whose selflessness and humor endeared him to all. He will be profoundly missed by his wife, Vicky; daughter, Nancy (Doug) Risner; sons, Kenneth Gray and Sean (Elizabeth) Gray, whom Jerry embraced as his own for 45 years; son-in-law, Tim Fulton; twin brother, Terry (Pam) Morse; brother, Robert (Jean) Morse; sisters, Mary Burks and Julie London; and brother, Joe Morse. Jerry was preceded in death by his young son, Micheal J. Morse, and his brother, Daniel Morse.

Jerry's journey through life may have reached its end, but the tales of his kindness, unwavering commitment, and zest for life will continue to be narrated by all who had the fortune of knowing him.
